WELCOME to the International Academy of E-Business. In 2000, the International Academy of E-Business was founded by a group of academicians to advance research, understanding and training in electronic business, which is often referred to as e-commerce or e-business. The Academy was the very first group of scholars and professionals to focus on the study of organizations, both for-profit and not-for-profit, strictly from the perspectives of the Internet, computing, information and communication technologies. This academic group welcomes individuals from all walks of life, especially those in academia, business and government, who are interested in e- strategies, policies and practices, such as Internet or online marketing, knowledge management, supply chain management, CRM, Management Information Systems and data mining.

ABOUT US - OUR MISSION

Among the missions and objectives of this academic and professional organization are:

• To enhance understanding, knowledge, training and scholarship in electronic business (e-business) or electronic commerce (e-commerce), characterized by dynamic technologies – including computing and networking technologies, the Internet, mobile technologies, and nano technologies.

• To study the conceptual and practical implications of electronic technologies for business, both profit and not-for-profit, throughout the world.

• To identify technological developments and trends and their social, political, legal and economic implications worldwide.

• To share and stimulate research in e-business.

• To create and provide interdisciplinary dialogues between and among academician, business practitioners and policy-makers worldwide.

• To explore and share pedagogical issues and ideas.

• To enhance business vision, creativity, innovation, entrepreneurship and globalization so that scare resources worldwide are management most effectively and efficiently.

In order to accomplish such missions/objectives, the Academy undertakes numerous activities, including holding conferences, seminars and workshops, providing management consulting services, conducting research studies, and publishing journals and books.

Since 2001, the Journal of E-Business (ISSN: 1542 0846) (www.journalofe-business.org )and the E-Business Review (ISSN: 1550-7793) are being published by the Academy. Both journals are peer-reviewed/ refereed, and they include outstanding articles dealing with a variety of topics on e- business. The Journal of E-Business is an online journal, accessible on a complimentary basis at http://www.journalofe-business.org. The E-Business Review is published on CD and/or in hard-copy.

Our past well acclaimed annual conferences include:

• 3rd Annual - Melbourne, Australia, Sheraton, January 2003

• 4th Annual - Atlantic City, N.J., Trump Taj, March 2004

At each of these conferences, research studies of approximately 125 scholars from across the world were presented. Many of these studies have been published in the E-Business Review, the International Journal of eStrategy Management and other leading publications.

We invite educators, researchers, students, practitioners, and policy makers to participate in our numerous activities. There are no membership dues. One can join simply by writing to us.

Those with an expertise in e-business are particularly invited to serve on our our editorial board as reviewer of papers and articles. If you are interested, please write to: adm@iaeb.net , iincluding your education, research and business experience, and other qualifications.
